We are pleased to introduce the dedicated professionals steering the MED-GEM Network, a collaborative initiative focused on shaping and co-creating advanced and sustainable energy practices in our Mediterranean Neighbourhood. 

From DG NEAR, Cyril Dewaleyne, Team Leader for Connectivity, Climate Action, and Environment, and Milou Beerepoot, Project Manager for regional programs, bring invaluable expertise in fostering regional cooperation. From DG ENER, Marco Berti and Matteo Fumerio, International Relations Officers, contribute their wealth of experience in energy diplomacy. The MED-GEM Network's technical assistance team, led by Frank Wouters, MED-GEM Director, alongside Key Experts, Mustapha Taoumi, renewables and green technologies expert and Raya Verniers,  information's and communication, adding their strategic insight and playing a pivotal role in shaping our initiatives. Implementing partner are GIZ InS, represented by Project Manager, Tiziana de Harlez and Project Assistant, Bandaly El-Issa, adding their managerial and technical insights. At the heart of the process, our dedicated National Focal Points - Eng. Sara Boukari (Algeria), Eng. Ahmed Elbakli (Egypt), Ms. Orit Ganor (Israel), Eng. Yacoub Marar (Jordan), Mr. Pierre El Khoury (Lebanon), Mr Mohammed Ouhmed and Abdelmonim Chentouf (Morocco), and Mr. Basel Yaseen (Palestine) - bring regional perspectives vital for our shared vision. Together, this diverse and skilled team is driving transformative change in the energy landscape of our neighboring nations, fostering collaboration and sustainable growth.
