Learn Green. Act Clean. | EDU-HUB, A New Mediterranean Plarform for Green Hydrogen Skills and Training
The MED-GEM Network, an EU-funded project implemented by GIZ International Services, proudly announces the launch of EDU-HUB — a multilingual, open-access digital platform dedicated to training and knowledge in green hydrogen and Power-to-X (PtX).
Now accessible directly at medgem-eduhub.eu and also through med-gem.eu, EDU-HUB connects learners from across the Mediterranean with high-quality EU-funded educational content. It offers a curated selection of over 80 training resources, certifications, and learning modules sourced from trusted partners such as TÜV SÜD Academy, RENAC, PtX Hub Academy, CertifHy, DNV, University of Wollongong in Dubai, and Hussein Technical University (HTU) and more to come.
“EDU-HUB is more than just a learning platform - it’s a knowledge ecosystem,” said Frank Wouters, Director of the MED-GEM Network. “It empowers students, engineers, policymakers, and other professionals with cutting-edge information to drive the region’s clean energy transition.”

Each category includes an overview, key resources, use cases, and access to relevant training material— from bite-sized online courses to professional certification programmes. Some even offer a discount to the MED-GEM Network community.
Three User Profiles, One Shared Vision
The platform tailors content for:
- Technical professionals (engineers, technicians, tradespeople)
- Policy & management actors (regulators, decision-makers)
- Support & logistics staff (operators, drivers, infrastructure specialists)
Courses are tagged by level (beginner, intermediate, advanced), access (free or paid), and certification availability. Each listing displays the training provider, duration, and content type.
A Strategic EU Investment
EDU-HUB builds on the success of EU-funded programmes including the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, HyAcademy, HyProfessionals, H2Excellence, and the International PtX Hub Academy. It was developed with MED-GEM’s national focal points, country experts, and industry advisors to ensure relevance and uptake.
The platform was officially presented during the MED-GEM Steering Committee in Rotterdam on 18 June 2025, ahead of its full regional rollout in summer 2025.
