Green Hydrogen Camp Tunisia 2025: From Theory to Action unlocking Potential with GH2 Summer School & Hackathon

Following successful editions in Morocco and Lebanon, the EU-funded MED-GEM Network is launching the third Green Hydrogen Camp in Tunisia, in partnership with the BMZ-funded H2Vert.TUN project, the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy (MIME), ENIT, and the Polytechnic School of Tunisia, with media support from EU Neighbours South. This new edition invites young talents to explore how green hydrogen can accelerate a decarbonised and resilient Mediterranean transport system.

📅 Applications open: April 7 | Deadline: April 27 | Results: May 5, 2025.

A Legacy of Innovation: The Success of Morocco & Lebanon

In 2024, the first Green Hydrogen Camps in Morocco and Lebanon empowered young innovators to address key energy challenges through summer schools and hackathons. The winning teams — GaFurNu in Morocco and Hydrogen Baladi in Lebanon — proposed innovative hydrogen-based solutions and were awarded a study trip to FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany), where they joined advanced workshops and met European energy experts.

From Theory to Action: A Hackathon for Hydrogen & Transport Innovation

Building on the momentum of previous editions, Green Hydrogen Camp Tunisia 2025 will focus on “Green Hydrogen Transports: Building Sustainable Ecosystems in the Mediterranean.” The program is structured around two key components:

  • An intensive 4-day training: Featuring workshops and expert-led sessions on hydrogen production technologies, Power-to-X applications, regulatory frameworks, and economic models for green hydrogen.
  • A 48-hour hackathon: Multidisciplinary teams will collaborate to design innovative solutions for integrating green hydrogen into transport infrastructure. The most promising projects will receive mentorship from industry leaders to further develop their ideas.
